1. I will mark time in positive ways (not just to-do lists).
2. I will return calls and answer texts in a timely fashion even (or especially) when my own day has made me bone-tired.
3. I will stop programming my days so that they make me bone-tired.
4. I will acknowledge the needs of my body.
5. I will eat breakfast (coffee is not breakfast), lunch, and dinner.
6. On the weekends, when I find the strength to turn off email notifications on my phone, I will not sneak around with my laptop.
7. I will stop imagining that there’s automatic merit to working long hours.
8. I will be the change that I want to see in the office.
9. I will do these things not only so that I am better to myself, but also so that I have the energy and attention to be a better daughter, friend, and colleague.
10. I will be more present in my own life and in the lives of others.
